Servant Leader Covenant
“Whoever wants to become great among you must be your servant.”
Mark 10:43
At Local, we believe serving is more than filling a role. It’s answering a calling. To serve the House of God is one of the greatest honors we could ever be given. Because every act of service carries eternal weight.
Every Sunday, greeting, prayer, setup, song, conversation and every unseen moment of faithfulness, It all matters.
We believe the Church is not built by the talent of a few, but by servant leaders who carry the heart of Jesus with humility, consistency, integrity, devotion, and excellence.
This covenant is not about perfection, it’s about posture. It’s about becoming the kind of person God can build through.
The kind of leader who protects unity, carries conviction, loves people deeply, and helps build a healthy, life-giving church for others.
As servant leaders at Local, this is the covenant we commit to uphold together.
“Now you are the body of Christ, and each one of you is a part of it.”
1 Corinthians 12:27
As A Servant Leader, I Commit To…
I Commit To Protect The Culture
I commit to protecting the unity, spirit, health, and culture of this house.
I will not participate in gossip, division, dishonor, or unhealthy behavior that weakens the Church.
I understand that culture is not built accidentally, it is protected intentionally.
I will speak life.
I will assume the best.
I will help create a church people love coming home to.
I understand that what we protect today shapes what we experience tomorrow.
I Commit To Carry The Heart Of Jesus
I commit to carrying the heart of Jesus in how I serve, lead, and love people.
I understand that ministry is about people first.
Before programs, before preferences, before position, people matter most.
I commit myself to the discipleship pathway of Local and to continually growing spiritually, relationally, and emotionally.
I will remain teachable, planted, engaged in community, and committed to becoming more like Jesus.
I understand that leadership in the Kingdom is not about status, it’s about servanthood.
I Commit To Live With Integrity
I commit to living a life that honors Jesus publicly and privately.
I understand that integrity matters both on and off the platform.
I commit to living with honesty, wisdom, humility, purity, and accountability.
I commit to living by the code of conduct of Local Church.
I understand that correction is not rejection, it is part of love, growth, discipleship, and spiritual maturity.
I give leadership permission to challenge me, disciple me, correct me, and help me grow into the person God has called me to be.
I Commit To Build The House
I commit to building the House of God with my whole heart.
I understand that this mission is bigger than me.
I choose to make the vision of this house my vision and the mission of this church my mission.
I commit to serving faithfully with my time, talent, and treasure.
I will show up consistently, serve wholeheartedly, and contribute generously to what God is building through this church.
I understand that healthy churches are not built by spectators.
They are built by servant leaders who are fully invested in the mission.
I don’t just attend this house, I help build it.
The Commitment
By signing this covenant, I am choosing to step into servant leadership with intentionality, humility, and responsibility.
I understand that leadership is influence, and I want my influence to reflect Jesus.
I understand that this covenant is not about earning God’s love, it is about responding to it.
I recognize that accountability is not punishment, it is protection. And I welcome the guidance, discipleship, correction, and encouragement of leadership as we grow together.
Today, I am saying:
I’m in.
I’m committed.
I’m here to protect the culture, love people, serve the house, and become more like Jesus in the process.
No matter what role I play, I understand this:
We don’t just serve services, we serve people.
We don’t just build gatherings, we build the House of God.
And it is an honor to do so.
